Background checks are processed for individuals seeking employment
or housing. This check will only include all, if any, past
charges in Edgefield County, SC.
Requests are to be made IN PERSON.
There is a $5.00 fee (CASH ONLY).
Below is a list of identification that is needed for a background check request:
1. SC driver's
license from the SC Deptartment of Motor Vehicles.
or
SC Identification card from the SC Department of Motor Vehicles.
2. Social Security Card

Law Enforcement Division (SLED), in Columbia, SC.***
