The Edgefield County Sheriff's Office has numerous warrants for persons that have issued Fraudulent
Checks. This notification is not required by law and is a courtesy of the Edgefield County Sheriff's Office.

has been placed on our ACTIVE WARRANT REPORT, which is viewable by the public. To avoid any possible embarrassment by an arrest, I

heard by a Magistrate Judge.

Copper / Nonferrous Metal Permit Law Changing Dec.16, 2012
Beginning December 16, 2012, anyone seeking a new or renewal permit to Sell / Transport Nonferrous Metals must complete a Permit Application.
Permit
Applications will be accepted during regular business hours, M-F, 8 am - 4 pm, excluding holidays. You may also download and
print the Permit Application below.
A complete criminal background check will be performed before approving the permit. Approved
permits may be obtained the following business day, after 12:00 pm.
***There will be a $10.00 charge for replacement / lost
permits.
Information for Demolishing Junk Vehicles
Under a new auto demolisher's law, you must have one of the following items to sell an inoperable vehicle to a vehicle demolisher
as junk:
1. Title to the vehicle (in the sellers name)
2. Magistrate's bill of sale
3. Sworn affidavit from DMV
4. Sheriff's Certificate
of Disposal
The seller must be present when the vehicle is sold to the auto demolisher.

service, effective March 1st, 2013,
that
allows us to send important,
valuable community information
directly to residents using the latest
technology.
The Nixle Community
Information Service
allows us to create and publish messages
to be delivered to subscribed residents instantly via cell phone text message
and/or email. Notifications can also be accessed online at Nixle’s web site at www.nixle.com.
Messages may include severe weather,
most wanted, and criminal activities, as well as other relevant safety and community event information.
The service is secure,
reliable and easy to use for our group.
The messages can be sent specifically to residents registered within a ¼ mile radius,
giving them the opportunity to receive trustworthy information relevant only to their neighborhood. Residents decide from which local
agencies they want to receive information. Subscribers can also choose the way in which alerts are received, whether it is by email,
text message, or over the web.
Nixle builds on the foundations of other public-to-public communication services, such as Twitter,
Facebook, and MySpace, but adds a key component: security. When citizens receive information from our agency via Nixle, they know
it can be trusted.

SC DNR Provides List for Nuisance Wildlife Removal
In South Carolina, control of nuisance wildlife and animal damage is the responsibility of the individual property owner. Often, nuisance wildlife problems can be eliminated by habitat modification, behavior modification, or a combination of the two. Simple solutions to common nuisance wildlife problems include feeding pets indoors, proper disposal of food scraps, and securing trash can lids. These measures serve to reduce food available to unwelcome wildlife and result in less human-animal conflict.
